If the Tide Pods controversy taught us one thing, (besides “We are doomed as a species”), it’s that an inedible object can still look tasty, and some of us will actually eat it. Depending on an object’s colors, shape, and texture, anything from a rock to a deadly insect can trick our brain into thinking, “Food!”
Tide Pods were really just the beginning. There are many things out there that look delectable, even if you know they’re not. It should go without saying, but please don’t eat any of these. You wouldn’t think we’d have to issue a disclaimer, but alas, here we are. (via Bored Panda).
