When young whipper-snappers head off to college, a lot of them are in for a real shock.
Mommy and Daddy aren’t around anymore to help them get things done and it’s now up to them to get their s**t done and be responsible members of society.
No more pampering, no more free rides, and no more home-cooked meals.
And, boy oh boy, do they learn in a hurry that it’s a lot different from high school.
People took to Twitter to share the big differences between high school and college. Let’s take a look.
1. It’s when everything gets REAL.
Race to the finish line!
going to school inbetween thanksgiving and christmas break feels like the last lap in mario kart where the music is all fast and gets really stressful

2. It’s one or the other.
Either totally mysterious or you know their life story.
half of college professors are like “you can know nothing about me except my name” and the other half are like “and that’s why my wife left me! anyway what’s up with y’all”

3. I’d call her a hero.
She did the right thing.
Yesterday a girl walked into class with an iced coffee and my prof told her she couldn’t have it so she just walked out and never came back and I can’t stop thinking about it

4. This might get weird…
Two worlds are gonna collide!

5. Not as motivated as you used to be, huh?
What happened to you?
Me in HS: Yea I’m involved in 16 clubs, I have a 4.0, and I’m on 4 sports teams.
Me in College: So good news, I’m passing

6. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Doing what you have to do.

7. Why did I do that again?
It’s a real thing.
Y’all ever skip a class and then have the post skip class depression? Like damn I should’ve just went

8. Don’t do it kids!
You’ll want to get up at 10AM, at the EARLIEST.
9. He needed a crying break.
Only five minutes, though?
i just saw a guy in the library cry for five or so minutes and then his phone alarm went off and he just? stopped crying? and went right on back to work

10. This isn’t fair!
It used to be so easy…
Multiple choice in high school:
a) not the answer
b) DEFINITELY THE ANSWER
c) not the answerIn college:
a) could be the answer
b) oh this one could be too
c) doubtful, but what if I’m wrong and it is the answer?
d) vague option that could also be right— Catie (@ckauffman20) December 10, 2018
11. It’s very obvious.
They can’t even do their own laundry…
in college you really see whos parent been cleaning up after them all their life
— bri. (@Bri1of1) March 26, 2018
12. Don’t tell her yet…
Let her dream!
The girl next to me is talking on the phone and says “my first day of classes as a freshman is over, isn’t it crazy that in just 4 years I’ll be working at my dream job” ….should I tell her?
