When I first started college, I quickly realized that my high school experience didn’t do a great job of preparing me for the rigors of a university.
I think I was fine emotionally and I’ve always been pretty independent, but when it came to academics, I realized I had a lot of work to do and it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park.
So I adapted, worked hard, and got through it. And it turned out to be the greatest nine years of my life! Just kidding…
These tweeters talked about what they didn’t learn in high school that they quickly realized in college. Here’s what they had to say.
1. That’s my seat!
Funny how that works out…
High school: "assigned seating is so stupid"
College: "why is he sitting in my seat? That's my seat… I sit there everyday"

2. How does this happen every time?
You guys are worthless!
Welcome to college. Where every single person is smarter than you except for the 3 people in your group project.

3. You did a great job!
And you deserve to treat yourself.
My first college test I got a 68 and actually cried in the classroom.
Today I got a 52 on an exam and I took myself out for chicken tenders.

4. Why did I stay home to watch cartoons?
Oh s**t, I missed a test!
Y’all ever skip a class and then have the post skip class depression? Like damn I should’ve just went

5. Now how do you feel?
some kid in the library is bragging loudly about how he got a 35 on the ACT well sir I signed up for the ACT but forgot I did and missed the test and we still ended up at the same school how does that make you feel

6. Yeah, this is pretty much it.
Keep forking over the money!
“How do you describe college?”
I’m teaching myself a class that I’m paying for
— Frosty (@Alex_Welch88) October 7, 2018
7. Let’s thin out the herd a little bit.
Parking would be nice…
STOP ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO GO TO COLLEGE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING

8. This is so hilarious.
Listen, son, you’re at the wrong college.
this freshman was like "I can't find my class" and we looked at his schedule and he's at the wrong school I'm so dead ??

9. I just met the love of my life in the dorm.
Sure you did…
How do people find their soul mate in the first 2 months of college it took me 4 months just to find the administration building

10. That’s called a HERO.
She did the right thing.
Yesterday a girl walked into class with an iced coffee and my prof told her she couldn’t have it so she just walked out and never came back and I can’t stop thinking about it
— Rachel Walters (@rachelhelenw) January 31, 2019
11. That guy is a genius.
No more judgment.
It’s funny how in high school we judged everyone but in college you see someone riding past you on a razor scooter wearing a Snuggie and it’s like “ that is a smart man”
— Brock Nikolakakos (@EhTruth) April 13, 2019
12. Things will get better.
At least I think they will…
To the high school seniors who can’t wait for college, I just want you to know I ate my pasta using 2 straws as chop sticks because i ran out of utensils.
