Looking for a job at any age really stinks, but I especially feel bad for younger people who are just out of high school or college and don’t have a whole lot of experience.

Because the more job advertisements you see, the more you realize that companies expect the world and they have totally ridiculous expectations for candidates.

And I’m even talking about entry-level jobs and internships.

It’s out of control!

These posts will really reinforce just how mind-numbing and infuriating it is to look for a job nowadays…

1. Three years experience for an internship?

That’s ridiculous!

2. This is crazy.

YOU pay US to work.

Starting 2020 on the right foot! /s from recruitinghell

3. Seems reasonable.

Wait a second…

4. I’d say probably not…

And I think I guess correctly…

Do you really think I’d still be in webdev if I had a time machine? from recruitinghell

5. It feels illegal to me, too.

What a joke.

6. Explain this one to me…

Doesn’t make any sense.

7. Wow…moving on…

Don’t even bother.

8. I can’t believe companies are this greedy.

Actually, yes, I can.

You have to be available 40 hours a week but you’ll only get at maximum $100 a week. So no second job but $10 dollars an hour? You needed a degree too. from recruitinghell

9. Entry level for that much experience?

What a bunch of BS.

10. You need a Ph.D. for these donuts.

OH MY GOD.

These must be the most amazing donuts in the world from recruitinghell

11. Not even possible.

Now you’re just making stuff up.

12. Totally a joke.

If only it really was…

Thanks for the opportunity guys, this job post is a joke from recruitinghell

13. Gotta go back in time!

Just like Marty McFly!

Those posts definitely bring back some bad memories for me.

How about you? Do you remember coming across ridiculous expectations when you were job hunting? Or maybe you’re even dealing with it NOW?
