We live in difficult times, but once in a while, a hero rises up and shows us that life can be better. That’s what happened when the geniuses who run Paperback Paradise began photoshopping NSFW titles onto the young adult books of all our childhoods.
Anyone who grew up reading about Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys is familiar with YA novel cover art. The books featured awkwardly staged scenes that illustrated the homogenized wholesomeness found in many (though definitely not all) titles in the genre. YA cover art was practically begging to be parodied, and the folks at Paperback Paradise ably did just that. Not only are the new twisted titles hilarious in their own right, they really underscore just how strange some of this cover art really was. When you see some of these, you may wonder what the actual book was even about in the first place!
If you’re a fan of young adult literature like us, and you loved these reimagined book covers as much as we did, you should definitely check out Paperback Paradise on Facebook.
