I don’t know how old you are, but I’m willing to bet that you spent at least some of your childhood roaming the aisles of Blockbuster Video on Friday nights with your friends trying to pick out the perfect movie for the night.
I know I did!
And I really miss spending a bunch of time looking at all the different titles in the video store…
And Blockbuster Videos may be gone forever, but at least this Twitter account is here to make us laugh and remember the good old days.
Let’s take a look.
1. We didn’t do this, okay?
I think this is all on him.
Don't get mad at us because you caught your husband cranking it to Coyote Ugly (2000). Direct your anger at him.

2. You knew this would happen at some point.
I have a feeling that The Crow is next.
A group of goth teens just cleaned us out of every copy of The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s a holiday miracle.

3. I’m not sure how I feel about this…
Can we start with Rom Coms instead?
We will slowly be opening our store up, section by section. Starting with Bollywood.

4. Can’t they catch a break?
It just doesn’t seem fair…
Netflix raises their prices again and it's no big deal but we forget to clean the fish tank for a few weeks and the world is fucking ending.

5. They had it coming.
Take that, ladies!
As much as this sucks for us, it's nice to see the mean women from Joann Fabric fall from their golden throne.

6. Man…I was looking forward to this.
That chimp is really something else!
Announcement: The chimp from Duston Checks In will no longer be doing an autograph signing tomorrow because the email turned out to be a prank.

7. Had to get rid of it.
That was a dark day…
Back in the 90's we had a ball pit in the store but then someone drowned and that was that.

8. Get her out of there!
This could spell trouble for all of you sinners.
Oh shit, a nun is hovering dangerously close to 50 Shades Darker (unrated edition).
— The Last Blockbuster (@loneblockbuster) March 11, 2021
9. That is so disrespectful.
Kids today need to know about the legends!
We thought turning our sidewalk bench into a memorial bench would prevent the skaters from grinding on it but turns out they don't give a shit about Walter Matthau.
— The Last Blockbuster (@loneblockbuster) March 4, 2021
10. This sounds a little bit fishy to me…
Anyone else weirded out by this?
Okay here's the deal. If you rent something this week we'll give you a covid vaccine. Don't ask how just take it.
— The Last Blockbuster (@loneblockbuster) February 4, 2021
11. Yeah you did!
You guys are really getting fancy in there!
We used a drone to get this shot. pic.twitter.com/XR3hvyb2Io

12. Can anyone see it from the street?
Seems like it might be kind of small…
We hired a sign spinner but we don't have a sign so he's spinning a copy of Mrs. Doubtfire.
