Kids don’t B.S. you. Unlike adults, who have mastered the many social rules that require us to hide our true thoughts and feelings from each other at all times, kids let you know exactly how they feel. Sometimes, this honesty will cause a kid to blurt out something better kept private. (“Hey, officer, I just saw Mommy and Daddy wrestling with their clothes off.”) But other times, it can create a real beautiful moment, like when six-year-old Bryson Suber watched his parents get married.

The wedding actually took place back in September of 2016, but the photos are getting attention because event photographer Paul Woo entered them in a contest. As the day started, Bryson was looking spiffy in red suit:

But when Bryson’s Mom arrived in her wedding dress, the waterworks began.

Bryson’s little brother Brayden, the ring bearer, was more stoic.

This is some great work by an observant wedding photographer, but Paul Woo told Popsugar that getting the shot wasn’t easy. “I was solo shooting this wedding, and this moment was difficult because I was secretly bawling behind the camera and had to prioritize this moment over the bride coming down the aisle.”

To Bryson’s mom Tearra and dad Bryant, the photos were the perfect memento from their special day. “To see him share such strong emotions of joy and happiness for the union of his parents was seriously one of the most powerful moments I’ve experienced to date!” Tearra told Buzzfeed. 

Eventually, Bryson was able to pull himself together.

After all, if you’re gonna rock a red tux, it would be a shame not to show it off.

All in all, it looks like everyone had a great time, and Bryson is an awesome little guy who’s not afraid to show emotion.
