The calendar might have turned to September, but you’d never know it based on the weather. Just look at today’s temperature map of the United States:

Those might be fall colors, but those are unacceptable fall temperatures. It’s 87 degrees in Vermont. Vermont, for crying out loud!

Summer doesn’t officially end until September 23rd, which gives us 20 more days of bug bites and swampy nether regions. That’s almost three weeks until the leaves change. Three weeks until you can wear a sweater in public without suffering heat stroke. Three weeks until your local drug store carries pumpkin spiced toilet paper.
