Board games are marketed as a fun, wholesome way for a family to spend an afternoon together. But if you’ve ever played a board game, you know they often fall far short. Many of these so-called “games” are, in reality, joyless slogs that only end with a family therapy session.

Why do we still play these games? Why haven’t they fallen into obscurity now that things like Netflix and video games exist? Don’t tell me they’re “classics.” We both know better.

Fortunately, the folks at Smosh decided to rename some beloved board games with names that more accurately describe what it’s like to play them. All these games should be renamed with these better options. No, they wouldn’t sell as many copies, but at least everyone would know what they’re in for.
