This Street Photographer Captures Real Life in Russia

What a country!

I’m talking about Russia, folks, in case you were wondering. It’s a really interesting country and it’s always great to get an insider’s view of anywhere.

And you’re about to go on a journey to that interesting nation via the photographs of a man named Aleksandr Petrosyan.

Petrosyan lives in Saint Petersburg and he takes all kinds of photos of people going about their everyday lives in Russia. The results capture a fascinating culture and one that many Westerners are not exposed to at all.

So let’s take a look at Petrosyan’s work. We think you’ll enjoy it!

1. The tattooed man.

I’d like to know what this guy’s story is…

2. Scenes from the city.

He is very good with the camera, I must say.

3. Walking in the rain.

With a dramatic backdrop.

4. The loooooong corridor.

I like the angle of this shot.

5. That’s pretty scary.

These kids are armed and dangerous.

6. A lot going on in this one.

A very mysterious place…

7. Street cats.

They look like they’ve seen it all.

8. A lot of police on the street.

Pretty intimidating…

9. The hammer and sickle.

Some people are still flying it there.

10. What a great shot.

From above the city.

11. Life on the water.

Great color in this photo.

12. Before sunrise.

A beautiful city.

13. The Russian flag.

Flying high.

14. A man and his dog.

Frolicking through town at dusk.

Now we’d like to hear from you.
