Think about this scenario: you adopt a pooch who will be your new best friend. The folks at the shelter/breeder, etc. tell you with confidence that your new dog is a certain breed.

Great!

But then, as the days, months, and years go by, you realize…this isn’t a Golden Retriever! I was lied to!

Of course, you still love your doggo unconditionally, but it is a pretty funny turn of events.

That’s EXACTLY what happened to these folks who were pretty surprised to find out their dogs were different breeds than what they were told.

1. That’s a poodle?

I don’t think so…

2. A little too close to the floor.

NOT a German Shepherd.

3. Not even close…

But he looks like a very good boy!

5. This one is WAY off.

How’d they mess this one up so bad?

6. Not a “small street dog.”

Not by any stretch of the imagination.

7. A beautiful dog, but not a Rottweiler.

This one is a complete mystery…

9. The biggest “Cocker Spaniel” I’ve ever seen.

A real beauty.

10. I just don’t see it.

Still waiting for that side to come out…

11. Is this dog a professional acrobat?

Sure looks like it.

12. I see it a TINY bit…

It’s in the ears.

I guess that happens more often than people think, huh?
