As much as everyone likes to make fun of Millennials and say that they’re lazy and soft, they’ve been through a lot of stuff in their lives.
I’m talking about big, major, life-changing events.
And just in case any of you out there forgot about any of those things, Millennials are taking to Twitter to remind everyone about all the awful stuff they’ve had to deal with.
Let’s take a look at what these folks had to say…
1. Think about it…
They’ve been through quite a bit.
Hot take: If 20 formative years of your life involve a major terrorist attack, two recessions, exorbitantly expensive and unnecessary wars, tangibly worsening inequality, climate emergencies, and incompetence during a global pandemic, it might make you think things aren't good.

2. The last one on that list is pretty rough.
At least we can all unite around not liking Carole Baskin.
Us millennials have lived through 9/11, two 'once in a lifetime' financial crashes, the worst pandemic in 100 years, and Carole fucking Baskin.

3. You’re not a kid anymore…
A lot of sh*t to put up with.
I’m not even 30 and I’ve now lived through two presidential impeachments, September 11th, the anthrax attacks, two major recessions, and a global pandemic. Millennials are not kids anymore

4. Numbed to catastrophe.
This person is right on target.
Kind of amazed at how numb my fellow Millennials have become to catastrophe, but then we're overworked, underpaid, and living through however many Forever Wars have been going on since the last major crisis we collectively experienced, 9/11.

5. That Cubs world series was a doozy.
I bet you never thought you’d see that one.
90s babies have been through a global pandemic, 9/11, 2016 presidential election, iHop randomly changing its name for a few weeks, 2008-2009 recession, Brexit, and a Cubs World Series.
We’ve seen it all.

6. An unraveled world.
Let’s hope things start looking up!
Y’all millennials have been THROUGH It. The world has unraveled 3 times in our life time and half of us aren’t even 30 😂
— The Bitch that took it to the floor (@Princess4loko) March 21, 2020
7. What’s next?
We can only hope that things improve.

8. Back in my day…
You’ll have a lot of good stories.
Between O.J. Simpson, 9/11, The Wars in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, the Flint water crisis, and Miss Rona? Millennials really gone have some dope stories to tell they grandkids.
— Cowboy Curtis (@MrMarcus260) April 5, 2020
9. Stop giving us crap!
A lot of big historical events have already gone down in their lives.
Mass shootings, 9/11, two wars, a Great Recession, and now a pandemic. Millennials have lived through too many history book chapters in our relatively young lives for you guys to give us crap again.
— Meghan Ottolini (@Meghan_Ottolini) April 2, 2020
10. Think we can afford that?
Just waiting to see what happens next…
People wonder why millennials aren’t buying homes or diamonds or whatever, but I’m not even 30 yet and this is like the 3rd recession in my lifetime. Lmao. #recession

11. That old one-liner…
Doesn’t really ring true, now does it?
Millennials! When the quarantine is over we'll be able to buy a house with all the coffee money we've saved.
— Clay (@CtrlAltClay) April 5, 2020
12. Why me, God?
That’s a good question…
Millennials been going through it. We had to overcome a financial crisis, student loan debt and inflated cost of living.
Now we in another financial crisis + a pandemic. What did we do to you @god

Well, there you have it…
So what do you think?
Do Millennials have legitimate gripes or are they just whining?
Tell us what you think in the comments.
We look forward to hearing from you!
