The holidays are a fertile breeding ground for uncomfortable family moments. On Thanksgiving, we shovel mashed potatoes down our gullets so we don’t have to talk politics with our druncles. On Christmas, we have to pretend to love gifts we hate, while hoping the fly on our pajama pants doesn’t pop open. And on New Year’s, we drink to forget about flashing Grandma on Christmas.
But I’m here to tell you that Easter is one of the more under-appreciated awkward holidays on the calendar. The conditions are perfect: ugly pastels, egg-related brawls, and terrifying bunny costumes just to name a few.
