It doesn’t really take all that much to fool people, does it?
The answer to that question is a big, fat NO.
People are pretty gullible and, as you probably already know, almost no one ever takes the 15 seconds of time required to do a Google search to see if headlines from The Onion or other satirical websites are true or false.
But that’s the world we live in right now…people want everything to happen instantly and they don’t want to do any actual work…but at least we can laugh at them because they believe that fake headlines (that are fake ON PURPOSE) are real!
Let’s take a look at some examples of people who believed that satirical headlines were 100% legit.
1. I am outraged by this!
Yogi had nothing to do with it!
2. That wasn’t why they bought it…
How could anyone fall for this?
3. We have an expert on our hands!
Oh, boy…
4. Hahahaha. Wow.
“I don’t get it…”.
5. This one goes very deep.
I love the comment.
6. Ain’t reading the rest of it.
That’s right, take a stand!
7. Still looking for it…
Stop wasting your time, scientists!
8. So good.
Oh, that’s not the change you wanted?
9. They fell for it.
Is there no hope for humanity?
10. Don’t look into anyone’s eyes!
Trust me on this one!
11. The end of all fun and games.
This is not cool!
12. He doesn’t have anything better to do?!?!
Go get a job!
13. This is awful!
And, of course, it’s the Radical Left’s fault!
