I’m referring to the old folks you’re about to meet who are trying to do their best and then they have jerks like you (and me) laughing at their efforts.

What the hell is wrong with you (and me)?

You know they’re doing their best but you (and I) still continue to laugh at them.

Well, let’s get on with it…you should be ashamed of yourself…and so should I…

They’re tired of getting harrassed about those boots.
