UPS Drivers Created A Facebook Page Dedicated To The Dogs They Meet On The Job

This article needs very little in the way of introduction. What do most people on Earth love? Dogs. And who sees a lot of dogs on a daily basis? UPS delivery drivers. So it was only a matter of time before someone put two and two together, and that’s exactly what Sean McCarren did by creating UPS Dogs, a Facebook page where UPS drivers upload pictures of the dogs they meet.

“When you’re running into dogs all the time, it creates a bond when you see them every day,” McCarren told The Huffington Post “It’s cool to meet some of the same dogs on the route, because they know who you are and they are excited to see you.”

McCarren, who has been a UPS driver for 17 years, started UPS Dogs about five years ago, and now has a following of about 300,000 fans. Along with about 30 other drivers from around the world, McCarren regularly updates the page with pictures of the friendly doggos who brighten their days.

Note: this will be my last ever post for Awkward.com, as I will be quitting my job to become a full-time UPS driver. Or, if anyone knows about a job where you can just meet dogs all day without delivering packages, even better.
