In recent years, coffee shops around the world have become the home of a new type of art form: latte foam art. Created by pouring steamed milk into espresso, foam art drawings have become more and more elaborate, and particularly adept baristas even compete in contests with thousands of dollars in cash prizes.

But Korean artist Kangbin Lee puts all those baristas to shame with his unique style of latte art, which he creates by literally painting colorful designs onto the coffee foam. He calls his creations “Cremart” and regularly updates his Instagram with new designs.

Lee paints everything from flowers and animals to pop culture characters and even recreations of a famous paintings. And they’re simply incredible  – especially when you remember they’re drawn not on paper, but on a hot cup of coffee. They’re so amazing that if we were offered one, we’d just wanna look at it ’til it got way too cold to drink.

Check out his masterpieces below.
