No matter what we learn about the natural world, there’s still plenty that can surprise us. And one great source of surprises is the Instagram page of Russian fisherman Roman Fedortsov.

He’s worked on fishing trawlers for almost two decades, and for the last few years he’s been sharing photos of the odd and unusual sea creatures he finds,” he told Bored Panda. I decided to create social media accounts because many people have no idea how some of the fish look. I’m constantly impressed by the appearance of some deep water fish and want to share my experiences with other people.”

Fedortsov usually goes on work trips that last over a year, but once he returns, he’s shares a new batch of oddities with the world. Here are his latest finds, and once again, they look like they could be creatures from another planet. (via Bored Panda)
