Kit Harington Plays Epic Prank On His Fiance Rose Leslie

One of the sturdiest tests of true love is, when your partner pulls a terrifying prank on you, can you still love them? Recently, Game of Thrones stars and fiances Kit Harington and Rose Leslie found their own relationship put to that very test.

Harington, who plays Jon Snow on the HBO fantasy series, went on the Jonathan Ross Show to share a prank he pulled on Leslie, aka GoT‘s Ygritte. This wasn’t your run-of-the-mill vaseline on the doorknob or plastic wrap on the toilet seat. That’s for amateurs. Instead, Harington left a surprise for Leslie in the refrigerator: a prop of his own severed head. (Hereby known as “Dahmer-ing.”)

And not only did he pull it off, he took a video of it. In the video, Leslie is innocently heading to the fridge with a freshly filled Brita pitcher when she spots the head. She reacts like pretty much anyone who just saw her fiance’s decaptiated head would, by screaming and collapsing into the fetal position.

Take a look at the video below:

Kudos to Leslie for having the presence of mind to put the pitcher on the counter before collapsing to the floor, at least!

(Also, if you’re wondering how Kit Harington happened to have a model of his own head handy for a prank, just watch a couple Youtube clips from the show.)

So, how did Leslie take it once she found out it was a prank? Not well! As Harington told Ross, her family didn’t “do” April Fool’s growing up, so she’s not much of a prank person. And the head-in-the-fridge experience didn’t do much to sway her. “She pretty much told me if I did it ever again that would be it, and I think that’s marriage included,” Harington said.

There’s a pretty big gap  between being a Prank Person and a Non-Prank Person, so it looks like one of them will have to compromise if they wanna make things work. But hey, their Game of Thrones characters managed to find true love despite Ygritte being a Wildling and Jon Snow being a member of the Night’s Watch, so hopefully they can take inspiration from their counterparts.
